CEPC CCE (Certified Executive Pastry Chef, Certified Culinary Educator) I started my Kitchen experience in Sonora California in 1981. I worked in two hotels in the Sonora area as well went to a two year Hospitality Management program. In '84 I moved to Lausanne Switzerland to learn French. I then moved to France to go to the Cordon Blue in Paris. I finished the Culinary & Pastry program. While I was in Paris I did my apprenticeship at Hotel Lutetia & Chez Fouchon. I moved back to California in '86 & work as a chef in a hotel in Sonora then later that year I moved to Napa Valley & over the next 4 years I worked as Pastry Chef in a couple of locations in Napa Valley (Domain Chandon & Auberge du Soleil). I later moved to the Santa Cruz area then to Carmel. All locations I worked as Pastry Chef . In 1994 I moved to Hungary & worked as Pastry Chef for a large company in Budapest. In '99 I moved to Portugal & worked as a Pastry Chef for a large Hotel in Moncarapacho. I moved to Pittsburgh in '99 & worked at a local Culinary School as a Pastry Chef Instructor for 10 years. In my 40 + years of travels I have gone to school & worked or taught in USA, France, Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, Canada & Hungary. I have won a number of culinary medals & awards some of which are best bakery in Budapest 4 years running for Café Mozart. Best Bakery in Budapest by the Mayor of Budapest, Café Mozart. I have made the birthday cakes for the President & Parliament members in Hungary. I have done lecture demo's at the New York city Chocolate Show. I've made birthdays cakes for a US President. I have also won a number of ACF culinary competition medals & one of the top 13 bakeries in Pittsburgh for 2011 (Best Bakery Party) as well the Best Gluten Free Friendly (Best Restaurant Party, one of Pittsburgh's top 50 restaurants) also one of the best of the Burgh (Best of the Burgh Party) 2012, by Pittsburgh Magazine as well the Savor Pittsburgh Party also one of the top 10 best cupcakes in Pittsburgh 2012 (WPXI), as well one of Pittsburgh's top Gluten Free by Find Me Gluten Free 2012, also from www.gfreek.com, 2012 we have won in Pittsburgh The Best Gluten Free Restaurant and Bakery, best kept secret Pittsburgh Magazine 2013, Top 50 Restaurants, Pittsburgh Magazine 2013, Best of the Burgh 2013 by Pittsburgh Magazine in two categories Best Carry out and Little bites, best restaurants 2014, third place in gluten free bites, by Pittsburgh magazine, people taste choice, by let them eat cake and Best of the Burgh Carry Outs by Pittsburgh Magazine and Best Worth the Drive and second best gluten free in Pittsburgh by Pittsburgh Magazine 2015, WTAE channel 4 Pittsburgh Dec. 2016, KDKA 2017. I have even taught classes in Pittsburgh's Craft Beer School, and the list keeps growing. Aniko Kaufmann Medical Esthetician, Nail Technician I was born in Cegled, Hungary. In Hungary I completed with honor a 2 years esthetician school after that a nail technician school from 1993 to 1995. In '95 October I opened my own spa in Szentendre & also got married. In '96 I went to a medical esthetician school. At the end of '98 we moved to Portugal, then in '99 to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I worked at two different spas & I’m very proud, because I learn a lot from the spa owners. But my dream was to always have my own spa. In 2006 September I found a location in Oakdale, Pennsylvania. It was a hair salon since the early ’80s. named Marie’s Hair Salon. 2007 February we transferred in to a full service spa. Where else can you get a chocolate cherry facial, a chocolate mousse cake, a fresh bread and dinner to take home?
