Hummus - GF, EF, DF, SF, CF, OF, NF

Hummus 

 

No need to buy store bought or Farmers Market Hummus 

Make it yourself 

 

1 - 15 oz can  chickpeas (you can use other beans) 

Drain chickpeas 

⅓ tsp baking soda 

In a saucepan, cover chickpeas with water and add baking soda. 

Bring to a boil and simmer boil for 15 minutes, till mushy 

¼ cup  (60 g)  tahini 

4  Tbsp   lemon juice (or more to taste) 

⅓  tsp  salt or more to taste 

¼  tsp  ground cumin 

¼  cup   cold water or plant-based milk (or more for a creamier hummus) 

2-3  small cloves of garlic 

Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. 

Enjoy!
